As of February 2, 2007 I sent a request to GLOBE UNLIMITXT service; but instead of replying me a confirmation that I am successfully registered, they replied to me their new scheme of the new UNLIMITED service.
The exact message was:
“ang GLOBE UNLIMITED SERVICES ay mas exciting na! Para maka-enjoy ng ALL DAY Texting, may UNLITXT: P20/1 day, P40/2 days, P80/4 days. Para sa heavy DAYTIME Texters, may Globe UNLITXTD: P15/1 day, P30/2 days. Para sa walang pagod na NIGHTSHIFT Texters, may UNLITXTN: P10/1 day, P20/2 Days. Para sa sulit na UNLIMITED GHP-GHP Texting + P0.75 to other network may TXTPLUS: P25/1 day, P50/2 days. For more info, text UNLITXT, UNLITXTD, UNLITXTN or TXTPLUS to 2870 for free.”
With the new scheme, GLOBE Telecoms did not only make the process more complicated, but they also increased the cost of the service. The previous UNLIMITED service was certainly cheaper as compared to the new, which would only range From P15/1 day to P25/2 days and P50/5 days. The process was also easier.
By this new scheme, GLOBE Telecoms is clearly taking advantage of their costumers. They took the chance that everyone was somehow dependent to the service and even if they increased the price, the consumers will still surely be patronizing the service because they do not have any choice; especially those costumers that are using their network for a long time.
What is there to be excited in the new scheme of GLOBE? It is not exciting, it is really annoying!
The ironic thing was that GLOBE Telecoms was known to give the best service among other networks. In fact even the other network user’s shifted to GLOBE because of the good testimonies of their subscribers. But now, instead of giving a sense of gratitude to their consumers, because of their greediness they somehow betrayed their loyal costumers.
GLOBE Telecoms did not consider the interest of the great masses. Companies like this should ensure the common good of their fellow citizen and not be the cause of the continuous poverty in our country.
